Fulda University of Applied Sciences (UAS) covers a broad spectrum of academic and professional education. It offers numerous first-degree programmes, graduate programmes and other educational activities and counts currently approx. 9500 students. In 2014 the University was awarded with a national grant to establish continuing education programmes targeted to professionals (part time study programmes). The University has been project coordinator and partner of several European projects (FP7, Horizon2020, LLP, Erasmus+, COSME) and numerous national as well as regional research, education and innovation projects. Transdisciplinary Research is promoted in five interdisciplinary research centres and two regional research networks of the university. The foci of the Centre of Intercultural and European Studies (CINTEUS) are EU Studies and EU Affairs and national and international law, as well as globalisation, migration, inequality and interculturality. The Centre's activities include externally funded projects, conferences and series of lectures, as well as a CINTEUS series of publications. CINTEUS also manages knowledge transfer, offers support of junior researchers, career counselling and continuing education at Fulda University of Applied Sciences. Fulda University of Applied Sciences also disposes of several Graduate Schools. As the first university of applied sciences in Germany it can award PhD degrees. Since 2017 doctoral studies are carried out in the Graduate Schools "Social Sciences with a focus on Globalization, European Integration and Interculturality", "Social Work", "Public Health "and “Applied Computer Science". 

Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) is a public university with an outstanding international reputation for its high-quality teaching and research. Founded in 1968, it has been generally recognized as one of the best Spanish universities in both national and international rankings. UAM has the following faculties/schools: Science, Economics and Business Studies, Law, Art and Philosophy, Medicine, Psychology, Teachers´ Training and Education, an Engineering School for Computer Science and several affiliated centres, offering a wide range of studies in humanities and scientific and technical fields. Currently it has about 28.000 students, about 2.800 professors and researchers and nearly 1.000 administrative staff. 
UAM has a distinguished reputation in research: in 2009 it was awarded the recognition of “Campus of International Excellence UAM+CSIC”, a joint project with the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). The support and development of high quality research have been among its objectives, and it has been rewarded with international recognition. These achievements have been attained thanks to its highly-valued research teams and research institutes.
UAM boasts a large experience in the management of international mobility, educational and research programs in the framework of the Lifelong Learning Programme, the VII Framework Program for Research, and Europe Aid. Currently UAM is coordinator and partner in Erasmus+ projects in Key Action 1, Key Action 2 (Capacity Building and Strategic Partnerships) and Key Action 3. Thanks to this experience we have consolidated links and improved knowledge and expertise regarding the running of this type of projects.

The UAM Law Faculty excels in this field by virtue of its researchers’ outstanding CVs, the importance of their published works, the large number of research projects granted and as a venue for Congresses on far-reaching issues within its respective areas of knowledge. Research is one of the essential and most promoted aspects in our Faculty. The UAM Law Faculty is a leading Spanish and international research centre, as demonstrated by numerous quality indicators: number of funded projects and amount of funding, publications, grants and, in general, the qualification of its teaching staff reflected in the number of recognised six-year periods of research, research prizes, etc.
For years, the Law Faculty has set an example of firm commitment to internationalisation. This is demonstrated by the growing number of Faculty students who spend part of their studies abroad and students from universities around the world who visit us, thanks to numerous international mobility programmes (inter alia, Erasmus, CEAL, International Agreements). The Law Faculty also encourages teaching staff mobility and participation of students, teachers and administrative staff in international teaching, research and training activities. The Faculty is a member of the European Law Faculties Association (ELFA) and the SUI IURIS association. Similarly, the Department of Political Science and International Relations is a member of the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR).

University of Zagreb (UNIZG) is the flagship educational institution in the country with 31 faculties, 3 art academies and various university centres and departments. As a comprehensive public Central European university, UNIZG offers education programmes in all scientific fields (arts, biomedicine, biotechnology, engineering, humanities, natural sciences and social sciences) and a broad spectrum of courses at all study levels, from undergraduate to postgraduate for more than 70,000 students. The University excels not only in teaching, but also in research, contributing with over 50 percent to the annual research output of Croatia. Being one of the constituent units of UNIZG, the Faculty of Political Science (FPZG) is participating within the project proposal as partner organisation. Faculty of Political Science of Zagreb University was founded by the Parliament of the People's Republic of Croatia on February 23, 1962. Since academic year 2005/2006 political science and journalism programs have been reorganized according to Bologna model into undergraduate and graduate programs. The Faculty also offers 11 postgraduate specialist MA programs. Faculty also has an integral doctoral program in political science. In 1996 the Faculty founded its own radio station, Radio Student, adding to the quality of its journalism program through interlinking of academic and practical skills and encouraging student creativity. In 2012 it was joined by Student Television, and both media are autonomously run by students, under the guidance of faculty members and associated experts. In 2014 the Faculty launched student newspapers Global. In 2007 Faculty of Political Science established the Centre for European Studies (CES). The Centre develops programmes for the public, i.e., training courses for Croatian civil servants, round tables and public lectures. CES applicated and implemented four ERASMUS+ projects (2 Jean Monnet Modules, 1 Jean Monnet Project and 1 Jean Monnet Chair). CES is also a key platform for promoting the University of Zagreb specialist degree Adaptation to the EU: Project Management, EU funds and EU programs which can proudly claim 4th successive generation of enrolment.

Associated Overseas cooperation partner: 

MacEwan University Edmonton (Canada) with its United Nations Club will be involved as an associated partner in the project. MacEwan University is home to four faculties and two schools. It is an undergraduate learner-focused institution with a history that dates to 1971. In 2006 the College began offering baccalaureate degrees, and in 2009, the institution was granted University status and renamed Grant MacEwan University. The University currently offers 33 Baccalaureate degrees as well as a range of diploma programs. Currently 19.292 students are enrolled in credit programs and the number of total employees was 2.123 in 2017/18. The MacEwan Bachelor of Arts degree has been offered since 2006. Now, 12 years later, the BA has 107 tenure-track/tenured faculty and teaches 3.494 students. Housed in the faculty of Arts and Science, the degree requires 120 credits of coursework, and allows students to major in 8 subjects and minor in 21 subjects from the Arts or Sciences, and 6 from MacEwan’s Business school. In the Bachelor of Arts, majors and minors are administered through 5 departments. The Model UN program started as a class project in Political Science, and was later transformed into a club.
