Bergamo (Italy) hosts the VIII edition of the Summer School in Applied Health Econometrics and Health Policy (AHEHP 2022) on 15-23 July 2022. The course is organized by the University of Bergamo in collaboration with the Centre for Economic Research and Political Research on Ageing (CEPRA - Università della Svizzera italiana) and the Centre for Health Economics (CHE - University of York).
The Summer School brings together graduates and PhD students to better understand the functioning of health care markets, health behaviors and policy interventions, through the support of applied statistical and econometric methods and the participation of leading researchers from Italian and foreign universities. The course strengthens analytical skills and values interactive learning between participants and teachers, practical exercises and social interaction.
Structure and tasks
The Summer school includes 5 days of full-time lectures, STATA laboratories and 3 days part-time. Applied econometric exercises will be assigned on daily basis and performed with STATA after the classes (2 hours of group/individual work per day).
The extended format (from 14 to 29 July) will also include:
- A half-day crash course of Introduction to applied econometrics using STATA.
- A supervised project work during the week following the courses.
A certificate of attendance will be provided with the acknowledgement of 6 ECTS, conditional upon lectures and lab attendance, completion of daily handworks and final project.
