“Cultural Studies: A Paradigm”
In this talk, professor Tinajero will talk about the research that she carried-out in Cuba about the readers in the tobacco factories (people who are hired to read newspapers and literature to the workers while they work). Then, she will provide several examples (paradigms) related to these readers and the history of reading, the evolution of radio, literature, and digital libraries. Tinajero is not interested in defining what Cultural Studies is in terms of methods and theories but rather in giving specific examples of its praxis.
