Master of European Studies

Duration of the study programme

One year (60 ECTS)

Structure of the study programme

Program is structured in two semesters. Winter semester courses are mandatory. Summer semester courses are elective. Upon registration, students enrol 3 courses (21 ECTS) in winter semester and 3 courses (21 ECTS) in summer semester. Students who acquire 42 ECTS can defend the Master's Thesis. The thesis workload is 18 ECTS.

4-year (240 ECTS) Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences or Humanities

Admission procedure

The process of admission does not include the exam, but it focuses on the interview with each candidate (Skype for  international students). This interview is conducted in English language. Each candidate is expected to submit:

  1. Cover letter in English
  2. CV in English
  3. Certified copy of a diploma
  4. Official transcript of records (with the GPA)
  5. Telephone number and e-mail address for contact

In order to enrol the candidate must have at least B2 level of English language knowledge. If the candidate has passed the  English language course on bachelor level that should be enough for the enrolment. If the candidate did not study English on bachelor level, he or she can submit an official certificate proving that his or her proficiency in English is on the expected (B2) level.

Tuition fee

15.000,00 kn (2000€).

Employment possibilities

After having graduated, students will have acquired qualifications for employment on both national and European markets.  Potential employers are both public and private. Public sector employers include national institutions and agencies involved with European affairs, European institutions, as well as regional and local government. Private employers include PR  agencies, media, consultancies and every business involved with trade on the internal market of the EU.
