DESCRIPTION:
The objective of the course is to introduce students to the forms of the strategic communication of states in international relations, with a special emphasis of international public relations and public diplomacy. The objective of the course is to enable students to understand the international context of the operation of public relations and introduce them to all aspects of the communication of the state as a subject in international relations.
In the focus of the course are international public relations of states and public diplomacy, as extraordinary important fields of international communication, which is considered by some theoreticians synonims. In this context, the course deals with managing information and communication of states at the operative and daily level, managing campaigns in the sense of the strengthening of identity and image of the state (the phenomenon of branding the state), as well as the creation and development of long-term relations among states and peoples. The course deals with theoretical approaches, strategies and methods and studies the applications of good practice.
