DESCRIPTION:
The aim of this course is to provide students with a theoretical background of knowledge necessary for the critical evaluation of the concepts of gender and identity and their social manifestations, relationships and interactions within the communicative and cultural context. Students will be introduced to the main feminist theories and approaches to the study of gender and mediated gender communication using literature from feminist theory, sociology, cultural studies, and media and communication studies. The aim of the course is to apply the acquired knowledge through the method of project learning to the setting and implementation and interpretation of research results that will be based on the analysis of media text.
