Dear students,

My name is Michael Cottakis and I am Director of the Europe-wide think tank group 89 Initiative, based at the LSE European Institute.

I am writing to invite you to join our latest project, 89 Connect – an online platform tailored to young experts and professionals in the policy domain.

89 Connect aims to be the world's first social network for public policy professionals, directly connecting users with each other and with employers in the field. Our vision is a global, interconnected, and empowered public policy sector, which together can help connect and improve politics.

The platform offers you a unique way to grow your public policy, academic, or political career.

Through the platform, you will have the chance to:

Create a personal profile and appear in a global database of public policy professionals;

    • Build your own professional network by connecting with peers and employers;
    • Gain visibility among well-known employers seeking to hire talent, or to collaborate;
    • Access the latest job opportunities from a range of public sector organisations;
    • Participate in the policy debates section, sharing your views and expertise on current affairs, gaining points in the process and thus appearing higher in a platform search;
    • Learn about events related to politics in your area.
  •

    If you are a student or early career professional in public policy, I hope that you will be interested in signing up! Should you have any questions, please write to me directly on info@89connect.com.

    Register HERE, and enjoy the platform for free. By registering before the end of this March 2020, you would number among the platform’s first 1,000 users – which will make your name appear higher in the platform’s search engine.

    Best wishes,

    Michael Cottakis
