The aim of the Methods in Comparative Politics course is to introduce students to theoretical and methodological Fundamentals of comparative politics as a subdiscipline of political science and enable them to understand, analyze and apply contemporary methods of comparative politics. Students will become acquainted with the history of development of methods in comparative politics, learn about the influence of other disciplines and deal with contemporary debates on method choice and the relative merits and shortcomings of various methods. Through seminars, students will learn to recognize, analyze and evalauate basic methods employed in contemporary comparative politics.
